Magnetic Polar reversibility or Polar wandering

Geomagnetism reversal and it's significance :-
----------------------------------------------

Magnetic poles are not stationary like geographical poles thus concept is called Polar wandering and Polar reversibility.
Last magnetic Polar reversibility occurs around 780000 years ago.

Magnetic north pole is shifting from Elsemere island of Arctic Canada to Siberia. This shift eastward has increased since 2000 at faster rate of 55 km/yr. But, south magnetic pole is shifting slowly. In the last 20 million years earth experience flipping of magnetic field due to flipping of outer liquid core many times at an average period of 200000-300000 years.

The outer liquid core consist of ferromagnetic material nickel and iron in molten form which conduct fluctuating electric current . Outer liquid core behave like a dynamo and thus produce geomagnetism. Which itself depends on neutrino flux of solar emissions.

Flipping magnetic poles or Polar reversibility leads to following significance :-
1) geomagnetic storms affecting satellites,  satellite may burn down, fails and falls.
2) weakening of geomagnetic fields reduce the ability of van Allen radiation belt to prevent the entry of harmful electro-magntic radiation such as cosmic rays, gamma rays and X-rays.
3) Navigation of birds, sea turtles and some fish get affected leads to shifting and migration of animals and huge chances of mass extinction.
4) Aurora or Polar lights,  which is an greenish light phenomena at poles will he shifting to lower latitudes.
4) electronic devices such as smart phones and consumer electronic contains magnets for navigational purpose may become useless , if used may leads to navigational hazards and accidents.
5) others events...add guys
